A pioneering collaboration between ATSU and Affinia Healthcare (formerly, Grace Hill Health Centers), the $24 million, 79,000-square-foot facility is expected to provide oral healthcare for thousands of underserved St. Louis-area residents while training third- and fourth-year students of ATSU’s Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH) for careers in community dentistry and public health.
Superior Insealators provided a BASF Walltite Spray Polyurethane Foam Insulation and Air Barrier system to the interior of pre-cast concrete wall assemblies. A BASF Enershield Air and Water Resistive Barrier was also applied to the exterior canopies to maintain water tightness to the building. The combination of the these two systems will ensure a high-performance building that will be extremely efficient and comfortable.
The installation of this system was verified by multiple third-party groups who performed Commissioning on the entire building upon completion. This project was also monitored and inspected utilizing the Quality Assurance Program by the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA).
